Gurgaon: The city reported 107 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, down from 172 the previous day. Two more persons succumbed to the virus, taking the toll to 1,003.
One of the patients who died on Monday was a 55-year-old fully vaccinated man suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis. The second was an 85-year-old man, who was suffering from Parkinson’s disease as well as hypertension. He was also fully vaccinated.
The city has reported more Covid deaths in February compared to the previous month. The city reported 35 Covid deaths in January, of which 33 people had comorbidities. However, 41 deaths were reported in February of which 36 had comorbidities.
The positivity rate stood at 2.4% on Monday. Meanwhile, the number of active cases has come down to 875, of whom 12 are in hospital. Some 207 recoveries have been reported. tnn
