A fire accident survivor, Prerona Roy was born and brought up in Kharagpur, a small town in West Bengal. After graduating in physics from Kolkata, Prerona returned to her parents’ home and pursued her MSc. But when she was 23 and about to begin working at a big technology company, a freak accident completely changed her life. It took more than 35 surgeries over a decade for Prerona to recover.
