Hubballi: Legislative council chairman Basavaraj Horatti said he has not yet decided to join BJP and he will take a call in this regard in May. He was reacting to Union minister Pralhad Joshi’s statement that they have submitted two names for the MLC elections and Horatti’s name may be there in the list.
“Joshi has a special affection for me. However, I have not made any decision as of now of joining the BJP,” Horatti said.
Expressing regret over Congress protest during the session, Horatti said that the clash between BJP and Congress is causing a loss to the public exchequer. “It is an insult to people of the state. As the council chairman, I am trying to resolve the issue. Both BJP and COngress should not take the issue as question of prestige,” he said.
