Kalaburagi: Rudragouda Patil, the kingpin of PSI exam scam and the younger brother of Mahanthesh Patil, Afzalpur block Congress president, was arrested by CID police at Solapur in Maharashtra here on Saturday. Police traced the mobile location of Rudragouda and found him staying in Solapur town. On Friday, Rudragouda had threatened CID police while they were taking Mahanthesh Patil into their custody.
The brothers had organised a mass marriage at Afzalpur town on Saturday. But in their absence, their mother supervised the event which saw 101 couples entering the wedlock.
The brothers have allegedly supplied bluetooth devies to candidates and helped them write the exam. The candidates who had written exam using bluetooth have topped in the exams. After irregularities in the exam came to the fore, CID arrested the brothers.
With this, the number of arrests in the case has risen to 14, said CID police. TNN
