Dubai: Moving during the hours designated for disinfection is still possible, provided a resident applies for a “move permit”.
Residents can register on a dedicated for the permit that will enable them to step out of their homes — for essential work or purposes between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am, every day until April 5.
The move is part of a raft of measures by the UAE government to ensure the safety of the public during the disinfection drive to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Important note: Only residents with this “move permit” can leave their houses during sterilization hours from March 26 to April 5.
FOLLOWING ARE THE STEPS:

For a new request permit, log on the web site https://movepermit.gov.ae/permits.
2.
Make sure you have access to the phone number you’re giving to the system.
3.
You will get a one-time password (OTP) on the given number to verify your identity.
4.
Enter mobile number, Full Name, ID type (Emirates ID, Passport, Driving lIcence), Nationality, Occupation (state “other”, if your job is not on one of the choices). State specific occupation. Press NEXT.
5.
State your reason, car plate source (Emirate), Car plate letter and number, pick within which Emirate are you moving, date and estimated travel time. Press NEXT.
6.
You will get a status report “PENDING” initially.

Individuals will not be allowed to leave the house, except for essential purposes or if they are working in vital sectors exempted from the restrictions.
All people leaving home should wear a mask, gloves and ensure they keep a safe distance from others.
Dubai: Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, in coordination with the Command and Control Center for Combating COVID-19, on Saturday announced the extension of the sterilization program to 24 hours a day across all areas and communities in the emirate to protect the health and safety of the community. The Committee also announced intensified restrictions on the movement of people and vehicles.
The measures will be effective from 8 pm on Saturday, April 4, 2020 for a period of two weeks, subject to renewal. In addition, extensive medical tests will be conducted across densely populated areas of Dubai to ensure members of the community are free from COVID-19 infection.
The intensified measures require everyone to stay at home during this period. Food retail outlets such as Union cooperative stores and supermarkets, as well as pharmacies and food and medicine deliveries are allowed to operate as usual.
The Committee said the measures will be implemented in cooperation with other entities working to combat the pandemic, including the Command and Control Center for Combating COVID-19, to ensure the highest levels of protection and prevention. The Committee directed all members of the community to comply with the new measures and cautioned that anyone found violating the instructions will face legal action.

✅ Work (24 hours): All must work from home, except employees in healthcare, food supply outlets, vital industrial sector, water and electricity sector, petrol and gas stations, telecommunications, media, airports, airlines, ports, shipping, customs duty and border crossings, public and private security services, municipality services, cleaning and sanitation, public transport, construction sector (subject to permits from Dubai Municipality and the Permanent Committee for Labor Affairs and ), industrial supply chain for services and basic commodities and entities involved in combating COVID-19.
✅ Support Sector (Partial): Employees working in these sectors permitted to commute to work between 8 AM & 2:00 PM: Banking, finance and currency exchange, social welfare services, laundry services (for select outlets) and maintenance services.
