Visakhapatnam: The State Industries and Information Technology minister Gudivada Amaranth said that the government would take up measures to allot 25 to 30 acres in Anakapalli or Visakhapatnam for the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India for necessary training and other issues.

The Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India was started in 1993 and gave training to 70,000 to date. It is an encouraging sign that around 10,000 women have become industrialists.

Minister said that as part of the agreement with the association 100 women would be given training. Seventy-five women would get training in food processing and the remaining 25 would get training in the garments, and textile sector.
“Women Entrepreneurs are more in number in small and micro enterprises. The government would extend its support to the women entrepreneurs,” he said. The government advisor of industries Veera Reddy and Association members participated in the training program.
