Gujarat High Court recently heard a plea to cancel complaints against Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan over the death of a man during the promotions of his 2017 released film ‘Raees’ that also starred Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The kin of the deceased had filed many complaints against SRK at the lower court of Vadodara. A petition was filed in Gujarat High Court to quash complaints against SRK which stated that no offence was made by the actor and the deceased was a heart patient and died due to some other reasons. According to a report in a news portal, the high court adjourned the matter to hear on February 24. The court has also reportedly asked the complainants that if they agree, Shah Rukh Khan will be asked to apologise. On January 23, 2017, Shah Rukh Khan rode a train to promote his film ‘Raees’ where a huge crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor. Soon chaos ensued and police had to resort to lathi-charge to control the crowds. It was then that one person reportedly died in the incident. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Shah Rukh will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathan’ co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles. He also has Atlee’s commercial entertainer with Nayanthara and Sanya Malhotra. SRK has also been roped in for Rajkummar Hirani’s immigration drama. For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
