Dharwad: The HDMC is probing into the allegation by residents of Unakal that the drain passing through survey numbers 6/1B2 and 6/1B3 in Unakal has been encroached upon by Bellad showroom.
Ashok Dyavanagoudar and four others had complained to the HDMC alleging encroachment by Bellad and Company. Following this the civic body had issued notices to the petitioners and Bellad and Company to produce relevant documents and give a written statement. Accordingly, the petitioners and representative of Bellad showroom have recorded their statements at the HDMC commissioner’s office on Thursday.
HDMC commissioner B Gopalkrishna told TOI on Thursday that the petitioners sought time to produce documents to support their charges and it has been granted. “I have asked our zonal assistant commissioner to look into the matter and examine the documents and submit a report. After examining all the aspects, I will pass my order,” the commissioner said.tnn
