A day after India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a bilateral comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, Commerce Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam on February 19 informed that the pact is likely to come into effect from May 1. “India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement is the final agreement, which is likely to come into effect from Labour Day that is. May 1,” said Subrahmanyam.
