Mahindra has teased three electric SUV concepts under the ‘Born Electric Vision’, with a full unveil slated for July this year. These products have been designed by UK-based Mahindra Advance Design Europe (MADE), and include a compact SUV, a midsize SUV, and a coupe-style SUV, likely to be based on XUV300, XUV700, and the upcoming XUV900 respectively.
The three EVs will be based on the same ‘Born Electric’ platform – details about which are yet to be disclosed. The teaser video released by Mahindra highlights a rather distinctive C-shaped LED lighting design at the front as well as rear on all three concepts, however, with subtle differences. While the concepts will be making their debut in July, it is yet to be seen when the production-ready versions of these EVs will hit the market.
Technical details about these electric SUVs is unknown at this time but they are expected to have batteries of different capacities, translating into varying power outputs and range.
Mahindra is currently working on introducing the electric version of the KUV100 in the country later this year. Apart from that, the manufacturer also recently revealed its plans of launching the fully electric version of the XUV300 in the third or fourth quarter of 2023.
