Jeevanandam’s father Ramasamy visited his daughter-in-law’s house two days ago to discuss the pregnancy issue.
Ramasamy was treated badly by Selvi who also spoke ill of Jeevanandam. Jeevanandam was informed about this, and he visited his mother-in-law’s house around 2 am on Tuesday. He argued with his mother in-law. He took a sickle and attacked Selvi on her head and face and managed to escape from the place.
The locals took her to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH). She was admitted to hospital. Police said Selvi’s health condition was said to be stable.
