KALABURAGI: Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday said all those involved in the police subinspector (PSI) recruitment scam will be arrested and legal action taken against them.
“There is no question of shielding anyone in this case,” Bommai. He was speaking to reporters on the first of his two-day visit to the district to participate in BJP’s executive committee meeting.
“As soon as the irregularities in recruitment of 545 PSI posts came to light, we handed over the case to CID,” Bommai said. “They have already made arrests in the case. ”
Asked if a re-examination to recruit personnel for PSI posts will be held, Bommai said: “We have asked CID to submit an interim report. Based on the report, we will decide whether to conduct a fresh examination or not. ”
More than 54,000 candidates had taken the exam in October last year to recruit 545 PSIs. Irregularities surfaced in January this year.
