HYDERABAD: Jubilee Hills police on Wednesday registered a case against Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for making offensive remarks against Rahul Gandhi.
On Monday, A Revanth Reddy, TPCC president and Malkajgiri MP, along with other senior leaders of the Congress party lodged a complaint against Himanta Biswa Sarma with Jubilee Hills police station.
The Congress leaders demanded that the police book a criminal case against Himanta and arrest him for making offensive father-son remarks against Rahul Gandhi.
Banjara Hills ACP M Sudarshan said that based on the complaint, a case has been registered against the Assam chief minister under sections 504 & 505 (2) of IPC.
