Dibrugarh: A sub-inspector of 25th Assam Police (ONGC) battalion in Sivasagar allegedly shot himself with his service pistol at his residence on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Probin Gogoi (56) who was deployed at ONGC’s Rudrasagar oil field in Sivasagar. The battalion is based at Ligiripukhuri, Nazira.
Gogoi was a native of Tengapukhuri, Mathurapur in Charaideo district. Gogoi allegedly shot himself with his service pistol at his residence after arriving home a couple of hours ago. tnn
