JIND: Indian students have thanked the people of Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, and Poland who helped them when the authorities, cops, soldiers, and their embassy left them alone in the war zone, where Russian soliders were allegedly kidapping girls. In their audio and video messages of thanksgiving after crossing the Ukraine border, they recalled how its neighbours gave them food and shelter.
Many students said Ukrainian army and police were hostile, but locals were good. Romanians gave them clothes, shoes, snacks, and other things at the border.
In her video post from Ukraine, a girl from Uttar Pradesh said Russian soldiers were kidnapping girls and hitting students. Rescued from Ukraine, Mayank Goyal of Jind said: “On Telegram, we took a vote on the kidnapping issue, and 60% of 2,500 students who responded said those incidents were real.”
