AMBALA: Thousands of people with their grievances from across Haryana thronged Janata Darbar (public meeting) of state home and health minister Anil Vij at PWD Rest House in Ambala Cantonment on Saturday.
The district officials claimed that about 3,000 people visited to meet Vij with their grievances from every corner of Haryana, following which, the home minister instructed the officials of concerned departments and redressed their complaints on the spot. Vij also ordered to send two sub-inspectors (SIs) of Haryana Police to police lines and the transfer of one SI, in case of adopting negligence in different cases. The concerned police officers immediately implemented the orders issued by Vij and sent the copies orders of sending the cops to police lines and transfer to the minister’s phone. Vij ordered to form the special investigation teams (SITs) to investigate different cases.
The home minister ordered to form SITs in the case of murder of Janu of Yamunanagar, who was allegedly shot dead by his rivals due to old rivalry in Jagadhri town last week on April 16, as the deceased man’s family members are not satisfied with the police action.

On hearing the woman’s complaint, the home minister called Kurukshetra superintendent of police (SP), and ordered her to conduct an impartial investigation in this case and submit a report after enquiry against those police officials who adopted negligence in this case.
Vij assures health workers of recruiting them
Before reaching his Janata Darbar, Anil Vij reached the protest site in Ambala, where the health workers who were employed during Covid-19 were protesting and listened to their demands.
A large number of members of Corona Employees Association, Haryana and NHM (National Health Mission) Employees Union, Haryana, from across the state were protesting at Bus Stand, Ambala Cantonment. The protesting health workers demanded that the employees recruited during Covid-19 pandemic period should be employed in the health department only.
Anil Vij said, “I salute the employees who worked hard during the Covid-19 period. The government does not want to expel anyone. The staff who were employed during Covid-19 was employed with permission from the central government.”
Vij told the protesting employees that ‘you people come to me later with a demand, but I start taking action on your demand in advance’.
“At present, for those who are engaged in the laboratory, instructions were given to extend their tenure. Action is being taken in respect of those whose names have not appeared on the skill employment portal. A letter has been sent to the chief minister to give two months’ time. Apart from this, a third portal is also being created in which a person who worked for a day in the Haryana government can register himself and as soon as the recruitment comes out, such an eligible person will be given a chance on the basis of merit,” said Anil Vij.
The NHM protesting workers demanded that the personnel recruited during the Covid-19 period should be accommodated in NHM. Anil Vij replied that, “my best efforts will continue for the employees and it is mandatory for the employee who has worked in the government for even one day to register himself on the portal. The call letters are going to houses of persons registered on the portal. If my wish prevails, I will do a lot for the employees, but in the government, we have to together with everyone. All efforts would be made to re-engage the employees whose salary is more than Rs 30,000.”
