Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with the first Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award at a function in Mumbai. The award has been instituted in memory of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar and will be given every year to an individual for exemplary contribution towards nation building.
